Universal Skills Profile

Visual identity and comms

Some of us will remember our National Record of Achievement. That burgundy folder given to secondary school pupils in the United Kingdom in the 90s. For some of us this was our first CV. A mainstream level of skills and awards that would help us into life after GCES’s, or what ever they are now!

This wasn’t suitable for all and Children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)needed something bespoke. Skills Builder Universal Framework launched to bring essential skills into schools and workplaces and Plymouth schools saw an opportunity to help schools help their students create profiles fit for them.

This was when USP, Universal Skills Profile, began a pilot to create a template that enabled a student to show achievements from the 8 skills areas from Skills Builder.

We created the visual identity and the digital profile pack.

Working with Nick on an education design project has been an excellent experience. He has an great understanding of the project requirements, and goes the extra mile to get an outcome that works for everyone. I would recommend his service, and am looking forward to working with Dell’ Anno Studio again.
