The South West groundworks company reveals a fresh logo and website.
For over 40 years, Champion has been the trusted groundworks contractor in the South West. From building roads and sewers, to laying the foundations for new housing estates, Champion is at the forefront of high-quality groundworks. The business started with Fred Champion and a single digger, and has since grown to become one of the most successful groundworks companies in the region.
The brand refresh was never about creating a new Champion. The groundworks company has a strong reputation and good relationships with clients. Instead, the brand refresh focuses on defining and promoting what already Champion a reliable partner and a good employer.
Jamie Roberts, Champion Managing Director, said: “We now have a brand that perfectly captures Champion’s identity. We’ve been proud to deliver high-quality groundworks for 40 years. This new brand will help to promote us for the next 40 years!”
For the first time, Champions has a clear purpose: “Laying the foundations so people and places can thrive.” This communicates clearly Champion’s role in helping to build stronger communities, through high-quality infrastructure. The purpose drives everything at Champion – from senior business decisions to completing daily tasks.
The new brand identity recognises Champion’s heritage, while defining its place in the modern world. The logo uses the familiar C pattern and the typefaces pay homage to the lettering used on Fred Champion’s original vehicles.
The website promotes and shares Champion’s culture and services, using the new brand identity and voice. Optimised for mobile, anyone, anywhere can easily understand the services Champion provides. The website also promotes the many career opportunities available, from apprenticeships to management positions.
